Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Oryx DTR's direct-to-retail platform for manufacturers, retailers, and rep groups.
For Rep Groups
- Direct-to-Retail means retailers buy directly from manufacturers instead of through distributors. Oryx DTR is the infrastructure that makes that model operational at scale — catalog, ordering, regulated-industry workflows, and settlement in one place.
- Yes. Oryx DTR is built for regulated industry workflows and supports license-based access for license-gated product categories.
- No. Oryx DTR does not replace distributors. It gives manufacturers and retailers a direct, automated way to work together when they choose to.
- No. Oryx DTR connects to your existing e-commerce platform. Your storefront, checkout, and customer experience stay in place.
- No. Oryx DTR works alongside existing ERPs, OMS, WMS, and fulfillment tools. It does not replace them.
- Who is Oryx DTR built for?
- Independent rep groups that represent manufacturers into retail and need one place to work accounts, catalogs, and orders without running a different process per brand.
- How do Rep Groups work on Oryx DTR?
- A Rep Group account is its own type, with its own plan and workflows. Reps work the manufacturers they represent and the retailers those manufacturers approve. The manufacturer still owns pricing, catalog access, and terms. The retailer still owns the store. The rep gets a working layer across the accounts they cover.
- Do I own the retailer relationship?
- No. The manufacturer–retailer relationship stays with those two parties. Oryx gives the rep group a cleaner way to participate in the workflow they already run.
- How much does it cost for Rep Groups?
- Rep Groups have their own plan. Rep Group Basic is $0/month, and Rep Group Agency is $199/month. See Pricing or talk to your Oryx contact for the current Rep Group rate.
- How do I get access as a Rep Group?
- Request access. Fit depends on the manufacturers you represent and whether those manufacturers are on Oryx or ready to be.
